Many models have appeared in the Bentley Continental lineup to date. The first generation was named as Bentley R Continental and it was developed during 1952.
Until 1955, the Bentley R Continental was the only Bentley in the market. During 1955, Bentley S1 Continental was manufactured and it was offered until 1959.
In 1959, the Bentley S3 Continental replaced Bentley S2 Continental, and the production of this car sustained until 1965.
The Bentley Continental R was developed in 1991 and maintained up to 2002. Later Bentley Continental S, Bentley Continental T, Bentley Continental GT, Bentley Continental Flying Spur, and GTC Bentley Continental GTC were developed in subsequent years.
Overview
The Bentley Continental R was an expensive, large, and lavish coupe manufactured by Bentley from 1991 to 2002. In this, the GM 4L80-E transmission was included first time. It was most expensive, quickest, and most muscular up to now. A convertible derivative called Bentley Azure was produced in 1995.
Bentley Continental R
Coming to Bentley Continental R, it used a 6.75 L Garrett-turbocharged engine that taken from Bentley Turbo R to generate

The engine used a new 4-speed GM 4L80-E automatic transmission and contained ventilated disc brakes on the front wheels. Coming to performance, it required 6.6 seconds to cross 60 mph (97 km/hr). In 1992, it was priced around $271,780.
Bentley Continental S
During 1994 and 1995, the Continental S model was manufactured along with in intercooler. At that time, these are produced in eighteen and after this; the Continental R also came with intercooler.

From March 1999, the Continental R Mulliner was offered and prefaced at the Geneva Motor Show. The Bentley Continental R Mulliner was packed with the excellent muscular engine after the development of Continental T. This engine evolved
• Power output of 420 hp (313 kW) and
• Maximum torque of 650 ft-lb (881 N-M).
The car achieved a top speed of 170 mph (274 km/h) by using this engine.
Bentley Continental T
At starting, the Bentley Continental T had 590 ft-lb (800 N-M) and rose to 650 ft-lb (881 N-M). The Bentley Continental T was a 2+2 coupe urbanized from the Bentley Continental R along with a athletic exterior appearance because of a 4-inch (10 cm) shorter wheelbase and enhanced rear and front wheel arches. The cabin was equipped with an engine-turned dash with chrome-finished components. With the help of a separate push button starter, the engine could be activated.

The Bentley Continental T Mulliner was prefaced in 1999. It was modified with shock absorbers in mixture with firm torsion bars that improved the handling capacity of Continental.
Continental SC Sedanca

The Continental SC Sedanca was limited edition model, which had lift-out glass sun roof over the front two seats.
